The opportunity

This is a unique opportunity to join a high-profile organisation with a strong national voice. You’ll be leading flagship campaigns that shape public perception and stakeholder engagement, with responsibility for strategic media relations, internal communications and crisis response.

You’ll take projects from concept through to delivery – including annual reports and major events – while managing a small team and collaborating across the business.

Main responsibilities

• Act as a media spokesperson, including during fast-moving, high-stakes issues.
• Deliver proactive and reactive communications across national, broadcast and digital media.
• Lead major campaigns from planning to evaluation across multiple channels.
• Oversee internal communications, working with HR and senior leaders.
• Manage and develop junior team members.

Key skills and experience required

• Strong media handling experience with national press and broadcast.
• Comfortable acting as a media spokesperson across live, pre-recorded and written formats.
• Calm under pressure with proven crisis communications expertise.
• Strong cross-team leadership either through line management or project management.
• Ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders confidently.
