We are partnering with a charity in the film and television sector to recruit an Interim Corporate and Policy Communications Adviser, on a 7-month fixed-term Contract. Working with both the Communications and Policy teams, this individual will be proactive in securing media coverage, highlighting key policy and corporate messages to external stakeholders and supporting the organisation’s internal and external communications.
A busy and pivotal position that supports the full breadth of marketing and communications delivery, including contributing to campaigns, editorial planning, and events support.
Main responsibilities
- Strengthen the organisation’s media presence and policy messaging in the screen industries through proactive media engagement.
- Secure media coverage through press materials, briefings, and arranging interviews alongside shaping policy communications for external stakeholders.
- Lead and support external and internal communications aligned with their strategy.
- Support campaigns, editorial planning, and events with the Communications and Policy teams
Key skills and experience
- Experience in a press office, including drafting press materials, media relations, and advising senior staff on reputation and crisis communications.
- Established media contacts in the screen sector and/or skills policy.
- Strong knowledge of the UK screen industries, politics, and current affairs.
- Experience in crisis reputation management.
- Background in not-for-profit, membership, or national organisations.
- Ambitious, collaborative, open-minded and dynamic self-starter.
