This exciting role within the water sector offers the opportunity to lead efforts to address water challenges across the UK. You’ll tackle a broad range of issues facing the sector including growing demand, climate change impacts and drinking water quality.

This exciting role within the water sector offers the opportunity to lead efforts to address water challenges across the UK. You’ll tackle a broad range of issues facing the sector including growing demand, climate change impacts and drinking water quality.
Main responsibilities
- Lead a national committee of Directors responsible for drinking water, acting as the primary contact for government and regulators
- Develop strategies to improve water efficiency including shaping the national water efficiency fund
- Drive policy development for landmark initiatives, engaging with industry and external stakeholders
- Champion innovative approaches to reduce water demand, including tackling leakage and waste
- Represent the industry at external events, building credibility and fostering collaboration
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders in Government, regulators, environmental groups and partners from around Europe.
Key skills and experience
- Proven experience in delivering policy solutions to complex problems in fast-paced, high-visibility environments
- Expertise in working across regulated environments ideally within water, transport, energy or other sectors related to infrastructure
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and evidence and present well-crafted arguments
- Excellent writing skills are required.
